Step inside a secluded rustic cabin – its massive fireplace is a sight for sore eyes

There's no place in the entire United States quite like North Carolina. The stunning nature of Old North State has made it America's home of the log cabin for centuries. The hilly terrain with abundantly rich forests creates sprawling mountain panoramas of historic Appalachian Country.
Rich Summit View is located in Boone, North Carolina, in an area where log cabin culture dates back to the days of settlement. Available for vacation rental, the cabin complements the outdoors lifestyle with a comfortable 1,100 square feet of indoor living space.

The porch has spectacular views over the valley to Rich Mountain, offering the possibilities of hiking straight out of the front door. Shall we explore further?
A wide porch sweeps around the side of the cabin. At 4,100 feet, the altitude gives you sweeping and distant views of unspoiled nature.
Inside, we find an open floor plan which is spacious and well equipped. The fold-out sofa bed puts the cabin's capacity at eight adults.
Comfortable sofas and casual rugs make this a cozy living room. The wood paneling and high ceiling create an airy place to live.
For the summer days, step through the sliding glass doors to the deck. In the winter months, light the fire and curl up on the sofa with a good book. Lovely!
Log cabins always look great with unique character pieces. Rich Summit View has charming rustic furniture throughout, including this stark vintage blue dresser.
A modern cooking space is a welcomed addition when it comes to meal preparation. The open floor plan and breakfast bar make this a social place to make dinner.
A well-lit dining area is a great place for conversation over a meal.
North Carolina gets consistently good weather for most of the year. Breakfast, lunch, or dinner on the wide deck would be a pleasure. With a barbecue grill and a hot tub, I could spend all afternoon on this private suntrap...
...especially when you see the views!
The hot tub overlooks Rich Mountain and an apple orchard. Nice!
Back inside the house, we find two comfortable bedrooms with queen-sized beds.
Some smaller cabins offer just a sleeping space; here, both bedrooms have enough livable space too.
The sleek bathroom features contemporary fixtures and fittings which create a clean space.
Sitting on 1.24 acres of land, Rich Summit View provides access to incredible hiking country directly from the front door. Beautiful North Carolina!
