When we think of log homes, the image that comes to mind is a quaint wooden house located in an area of fantastic natural beauty. This lovely log cabin doesn't disappoint. It is located in Fairbanks, Alaska, boasting access to some of the best nature in the entire United States.
Listed for vacation rental on Airbnb, this cabin in the interior of Alaska is a good choice for those wishing to explore the abundance of the northern extremes. If you go at the right time, you can even catch sight of the awe-inspiring Northern Lights.
As we approach the cabin, we notice the south-facing side of the house has a soaring wall of windows and a deep terrace - perfect for enjoying the sights and sounds of the great outdoors.
Inside the cabin, we find an eclectic living space, decorated is an attractive shade of wood. The comfy leather sofas and wood-burning stove will make this a welcoming room for those colder evenings.
Looking back towards the front of the house, we notice how the high ceiling and large windows bejewel the living area with plenty of natural light.
The open-concept great room encompasses a charming country-style kitchen which is elegantly decorated to fit in perfectly with the overall rustic theme of the log home.
