We enter the home via the wide front porch. No log home would be complete without a front deck. This house has a spacious porch which can house plenty of outdoor seating options.
As we step inside the house, our first impressions are of the soaring cathedral ceiling and attractive combination of logs, posts, and beams.
The large great room benefits from the air of the high ceiling, while the huge windows ensure the room is bathed in natural light and give a sense of constantly being surrounded by nature.
The modern kitchen perfectly combines rustic elements with modern function. The grain of the wood in the cabinetry is highlighted by a dark stain, while stainless steel appliances make the kitchen a chef's dream.
The kitchen is cleverly encased by the sweeping counter tops which give plenty of room for food preparation and double up as a breakfast bar.
The home has two dining rooms - the more formal of the two sits in the heart of the house.
The second dining room is perfect for less formal meals and is located in a glass-encased sun room.
The master suite is enormous, finished with high-quality wood flooring and antique furniture. To the right of the photo, we find the master suite's private lounge.
The master suite's lounge area benefits from windows all around, creating a light-filled place to enjoy a peaceful morning.
The master bathroom is furnished to exceptional standards, including a large vanity with two built-in sinks.
The built-in shower is decorated with an attractive shade of tiling and is a pleasant place to start the day.
The second bedroom on the main level of the house is also exceptionally large. The owner has chosen to furnish it with two bunk beds, making an ideal guest room.
The second bathroom boasts the same high-quality finishes we saw in the master suite. Nice!
As we transition upstairs, we find a peaceful sitting area in the loft space which is open to the great room below.
The upstairs houses two further bedrooms, both of which are very spacious and benefit from the air of the cathedral ceiling and the light from huge gabled dormers.
This house has no shortcomings at all. The upstairs has a full bathroom which includes a large tub.
As we move to the lower level of the house, we discover a second living room. Less formal than upstairs, this is ideal for family time.
The lower-level sitting room has glass doors which lead to the outdoor terrace and is heated by a lovely stone fireplace. The addition of a retro arcade machine is a nice touch. Cheeky!
The lower level also has a bedroom, putting the total number of sleeping chambers in the house at five.
As day changes into night, there is no better place to enjoy the great outdoors than on the large terrace, which is complete with an outdoor fireplace. Romantic!
