This fantastic log construction has a commanding location atop a hill. To enter the home, we walk up a gently winding path from the two-car garage.
The walkway from the garage displays a high standard of post-and-beam construction in itself. It features a glass railing which allows visitors to enjoy the surrounding views as they ascend.
As the path bends, so does the wooden cover. Just look at how well this turn is constructed. The whole house boasts features like this. Let's continue and check it out.
Inside the main living area, we see how the prow front captures the outstanding views of the forested valley below. The robust and rugged beams are an attractive feature throughout this entire home, requiring little decoration beyond the tones of the wood.
The wall of glass leans outwards slightly; a feature which seems to draw the natural habitat inside the house.
Looking back into the home, we notice an open-concept floor plan with a high cathedral ceiling. The opposite end of the home also has floor-to-ceiling windows, bathing the entire house in natural light irrespective of the sun's location.
This upscale log home is finished with the finest materials at the height of contemporary rustic interior design. The large kitchen has attractive off-white cabinetry which gives the impression of a classic country-style cooking space.
At the opposite end of the house, we find an enormous dining set which comfortably fits in this over-sized floor plan. It is lit by a second huge wall of glass which benefits from the same intricate weaving of posts and beams as in the main living area.
The loft space in Sun Peaks is elegantly decorated with clean lines and a magnolia finish to the walls. It houses a second sitting space and one of the numerous sleeping areas.
Taking a look at the house from a distance, we can see how this incredible combination of wood and glass creates a powerful and inviting place to stay.
