Warm up in a comfortable lodge with tall ceilings and an adorable upper floor

Many modern cabins maximize on natural light by building with both wood and glass. Contemporary log cabin floor plans often feature enormous walls of windows which allow the interior to be bathed in radiance. One of the main problems we find with a lot of glass in a log cabin: the rooms can become difficult to heat, especially in the winter.
This Mountain Lodge provides a spacious floor plan which is designed to repel the harsher elements. Built from arctic pine logs, Mountain Lodge Homes have constructed a robust cabin which is very well insulated, and thus, easily heated. Shake your boots off and let's take a look inside.

The commanding frame of the house is a spectacular first impression. The covered porch borders the entire front of the house, giving plenty of space to sit or shake off your snow-covered clothes.
The interior of the home has a soaring ceiling with the central anchor of a wood-burning stove. The heavy, arctic pine logs are a fantastic insulator against the weather; despite the high ceiling, this room will heat up in no time.
The main living area is spacious enough for a large party of friends to relax.
The floor plan includes a designated dining area in between the kitchen and the lounge.
The two ground-floor bedrooms are cozy spaces to retire to at the end of the day. One has an attached half-bathroom, while the second has direct access to the full bathroom.
The loft is open to below, giving the space the benefit of the light and air of the main living area. It can easily be customized as a second sitting room, a third bedroom, or a study.
